Sarge: Habit Alarm
Terms of Use
Last updated 2026-08-29 · applies to Sarge for iPhone and to this website
The short version. Sarge is a habit tool that rings alarms and keeps the record you feed it. Use it for habits. Don't rely on it for anything where a missed alarm could hurt you or anyone else — it's a drill sergeant, not a safety system.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and PLAYRIOT LLC ("we") and cover the Sarge iPhone app and sarge.aiappnation.com. Using either means you accept them. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies to the app; where the two conflict, Apple's terms win for App Store matters.
2. What Sarge is — and is not
Sarge schedules alarms for habits you choose and records the answers you give. It is a motivation and self-tracking tool. It is not:
- A safety-critical alarm. Do not rely on Sarge (or any app) as your only alarm for anything where failure has real consequences — medication that must be taken on time, childcare, work shifts, travel, medical care. Alarms depend on your device being on, charged, and permitted to ring; hardware, iOS behavior, and settings outside our control can all silence or delay one.
- Medical, psychological, or professional advice. Habit summaries, patterns and suggestions are computed from your own entries for motivation only. Decisions about medication, health, or treatment belong with you and your clinician.
- A guarantee of results. Sarge helps you show up; it can't do the reps.
3. Your content and record
Your habits and your record are yours. They live on your device (and, if you enable it, in your own iCloud) — see the privacy policy. You're responsible for the entries you make and for exporting your data if you want a copy outside the app.
4. Subscriptions and purchases
Some features require a paid subscription ("Pro"), sold through Apple. Current prices, terms and any free trial are shown on the App Store listing and in the app before you buy. Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled in your Apple Account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. If a subscription lapses, your data stays intact — extra habits pause rather than being deleted, and you choose which one stays armed.
5. Acceptable use
Don't reverse-engineer the app except where the law allows, don't use it to break the law, and don't probe, disrupt or overload this website or our feedback service.
6. Disclaimers
The app and site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that alarms will fire in every circumstance, that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that computed insights are accurate or suitable for any purpose beyond personal motivation.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent the law permits, PLAYRIOT LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed or silenced alarm. Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes
We may update the app and these terms. If terms change materially, the new version appears here with a new date, and continued use after that means acceptance. We won't retroactively reduce what you've already paid for.
