SARGE

Sarge: Habit Alarm

Privacy Policy

Last updated 2026-08-29 · applies to Sarge for iPhone and to this website

The short version. There is no account. Your habits, your alarms and your whole record live on your iPhone and nowhere else. There is no analytics SDK, no advertising identifier and no third-party tracker in the app. The only things that can ever leave your phone are an optional backup to your own iCloud, and feedback you choose to send us. Both are described line by line below, and both have a delete.

1. Who we are

Sarge is made by PLAYRIOT LLC. This policy covers the Sarge iPhone app and sarge.aiappnation.com. Questions, or a deletion request: [email protected].

2. What stays on your phone (everything, by default)

Your habits, their times and tones, your quiet windows, and the honesty ledger — every DID IT, skip, push, freeze and missed day — are stored in a local file on your device. Alarms are scheduled through Apple's AlarmKit on the device itself. Nothing about your habits or your record is sent to us, ever. Deleting the app deletes all of it; Settings → "Delete everything on this phone" does the same without deleting the app, and Settings → "Export everything" hands you a copy first.

3. iCloud backup (optional, Pro)

If you turn on iCloud backup, the app saves a copy of your record into your own iCloud account's private database, using Apple's CloudKit. It goes to Apple's servers under your Apple Account — we cannot read it, access it, or see that it exists. Turning the toggle off stops new backups; deleting your record in the app and backing up again replaces the copy. Apple's own privacy terms govern iCloud storage.

4. Feedback you choose to send

The "Help shape Sarge" screen (and the shake gesture) sends us only what you type, plus an anonymous per-install identifier so we can show you a reply in the app, your app version, and your subscription tier (free or Pro). An email address is included only if you volunteer one. This is the single place in the app that talks to our server, and it only fires when you tap send. Ask us to delete your submissions at the address above.

5. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. We never see your payment details. The app checks your subscription status with Apple's StoreKit on the device.

6. Notifications and alarms

Alarm scheduling and notification delivery happen entirely on your device through Apple's frameworks. There is no push server; we cannot send you anything remotely.

7. This website

This site uses a self-hosted, cookieless page-view counter (Umami) that stores no personal information and sets no cookies. Fonts are served by Google Fonts, which sees the request your browser makes for the font files.

8. Children

Sarge is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal information from anyone, including children.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a new date. A change will never quietly expand what leaves your phone.
